Police made one arrest and continue to search for two other men, who are believed to be involved in a violent home invasion, where the resident was assaulted with a suspected BB gun.
Middletown Police Lt. Jim Cunningham said three men kicked in the door of the house in the 700 block of Eaton Avenue around 1 a.m. Once inside one of the men pulled out the gun and struck the male victim in the face with the weapon, Cunningham said.
The three men were able to steal several hundred dollars and marijuana from inside the home, Cunningham said.
Police responding were able to track down one of the suspects, who has yet to be identified, and the suspected BB gun used in the crime, Cunningham said. The detained suspect had possession of the victim’s cell phone and a new $100 bill, believed to have been one of the bills taken during the home invasion.
The victim will be cited for possession of marijuana, police said.
Descriptions of the other two men on the run were not immediately available.
